“My work has leveled up significantly since we started working together.” - Drew Stegmaier

Be the signal, not the noise

There is way too much content on the internet.

Unfortunately, most of it is keyword-stuffed tripe with clickbait titles that play fast-and-loose with the truth.

There is so much noise out there. The only way to stand out is to add value to your audience.

Help them.

Solve their problems.

Answer their questions.

Use their language.

But, how do you go about doing it? Perhaps you’re wondering whether your exposition on cryptocurrency is accessible to your audience. Or you aren’t sure how to cut the fluff to make your article attention-grabbing.

Fortunately, audience-centric editing can help. We help you tailor your content to your audience using the PAS (Purpose, Audience, Style) Framework. This three-pronged framework ensures that the purpose of your piece is clearly communicated, that it speaks to your intended audience, and that it’s engaging, relevant, and valuable.

Try audience-centric editing to see your content resonate with your readers and achieve your content goals.

The PAS Framework

The PAS Framework involves looking at the Purpose, Audience, and Style of the piece.

  • Purpose: Why are you writing this piece? What is the goal?
  • Audience: Who are you writing for? Does your piece cater to them? Is it accessible?
  • Style: Are there any run-on sentences or jargon that your audience might not understand? Is your writing grammatically sound? Does it have any typos or spelling errors?

We look at all this, and more, to ensure that your writing is valuable, relevant, and fluff-free — all while maintaining your voice and style.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we get started?

Schedule a no-obligation call where we understand your needs and set expectations.

Set up your trial edit. We'll show you the magic of audience-focused editing.

Choose your plan. Let us know how many words you want to get edited per month, and we'll discuss the plan that best suits your needs.

Integrate. We'll integrate with your existing process, so you don't have to learn ours.

What are unlimited revisions?

Exactly that. We'll do a million revisions if that's what you need to feel satisfied. Just ask.

How do you calculate the words?

Usually, we look at the word count of your original draft and not the revised versions.  However, there are times when the revised versions are significantly longer. In these cases, we would look at the word count of the final version.

What kind of content do you edit?

We edit:

  • Blogs
  • Newsletters
  • Web content
  • White papers
  • Presentations
  • Reports
  • E-mails
  • E-books
  • Course content

However, we do not edit:

  • Technical content which requires subject matter expertise.
  • Medical content.
  • Academic content like Ph.D. theses.
  • Fiction.

If you have any specific requests, please let us know and we’ll try our best to help you.

What is audience-centric editing?

Audience-centric editing goes beyond checking for flow, structure, grammar, and typos. It takes into account the needs, expectations, and preferences of your audience.

What formats do you accept drafts in?

We’re happy to work on either MS Word or Google Docs. In the former, we use "Track Changes" and in the latter, we use the ‘Suggesting’ mode. This way you can keep tabs on the changes we’ve made and accept or reject them easily.

We can also edit PDFs and PPTs, but we'll charge extra for that.

What is the turnaround time?

We offer a guaranteed turnaround time of 24 hours for content that is 2000 words or less. For longer pieces, we typically turn it around in 48 hours.

However, e-books will take longer depending on the length. We'll let you know the deadline so you can plan around it.

What are your working hours?

We work around the clock from Monday to Friday and take weekends off to recharge.

You can send in your content at any time. However, any drafts submitted after 2 p.m. EST on Fridays will be processed on Monday. You will have the first edit by the end of the day.

Am I locked into a long-term contract?

Not at all. Cancel your plan at any time.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees. All taxes and fees are included in our prices.

How does pay-as-you go work?

It's simple. We invoice you at the rate of $0.08/word for all the words we've edited over the past month.

This plan is for you if you aren't sure how many words you'll produce every month. It's great for individuals and small companies.

How does the retainer work?

If you produce more than 25,000 words a month, we recommend the retainer. Lock in preferential pricing and save 25% by paying a set fee every month. Any words above the limit discussed will be charged at the same rate.

This plan is perfect for large companies/agencies who expect to produce a lot of content.

Do you charge on a per-word basis?

All our plans are based on the number of words we edit.

If I have questions about the edited document, how do I ask the editor?

We encourage you to ask your editor as many questions as you need. You can reach out to her by email or within your communication tool.

My question wasn't answered. Can you help me?

Of course. Please email us and we'd be happy to answer all your questions.
